Pop along for One Great Day!
The Alhambra Shopping Centre in Barnsley is set to host ‘One Great Day’ of fundraising fun for all the family to enjoy.
The One Great Day fundraising spectacular follows similar successful events that have taken place the last four years, that have raised more than £15,000 for charity.
This year the funds raised, will be split between One Great Day’s charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the centre’s chosen local charity of the year - Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday 23rd June (10am – 3pm) with a whole host of fun activities for shoppers!
Lots of games for the kids will be available including the fish bowl challenge, come and have your photo taken with your favourite superhero and enjoy some live music by local, up and coming singers Katie Greaves, Nathan Kennedy and Thomas Bee!
Bluebell Wood will also be in the centre with their stall selling pre-loved toys, clothes and other goodies, promoting their Bangers for Bluebell summer campaign, alongside donation buckets on hand for any spare change and a tombola with some lovely prizes.
If that wasn’t enough, if you head over to the Alhambra Facebook page there is a £50 shopping voucher and a BBQ Hamper up for grabs!
Steph Higham, Alhambra Shopping Centre marketing manager said: “We are all looking forward to the One Great Day events and raising lots of money and awareness for Bluebell Wood and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
“We are aiming to raise more money than last year so come along join in the fun, meet your favourite superhero and help Bluebell Wood with its annual fundraising target.”
As separate fundraising events, the Alhambra organised a ‘One Great Golf Day’ that took place on the 7th June at Sand Hill Golf Course and has already raised more than £6,000+ towards the One Great Day charitable efforts.
The Alhambra team is also taking part in It’s a Knock Out for the charity too on the 30th June!
Bluebell Wood spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to be the chosen charity of the Alhambra Centre for 2018. The fun day is a great opportunity for us to raise much needed funds and spread awareness about the hospice. It will be a great addition for families to come along and enjoy the fun whilst visiting the centre. We look forward to seeing people on the day.”
