Manor Walks launches a new charity bursary in Northumberland

Northumberland charities could be in with a chance of securing funding thanks to Manor Walks new £3k bursary scheme.

The Manor Walks Heart of the Community Fund is offering UK registered charities operating in Northumberland the opportunity to nominate themselves to receive a substantial grant to support their work in the region.

The scheme, which is funded by Manor Walks Cramlington will support charities undertaking vital work in the community and be awarded with a £3k donation in the year long partnership.

The launch of this year’s bursary scheme forms part of Manor Walks’ ongoing commitment to supporting local communities across Northumberland.

Bruno Coppola, General Manager at Manor Walks Cramlington, said: “We are delighted to be launching the Manor Walks Heart of the Community Fund after all the community support we have received over the years from our loyal customers and we wanted to give something back.

“It is important that Manor Walks, its customers and its community work closely together and we are committed to supporting initiatives both in Cramlington and Northumberland.

“We are proud to be able to provide essential funding that will make a genuine difference to one lucky charity and to the community it supports. I would urge all registered charities working in Northumberland to submit their application to us as soon as possible.”

The chosen charity will work closely with Manor Walks throughout the year and will have the opportunity to fundraise at key events at the shopping centre as well as creating volunteering opportunities for Manor Walks employees.

Application opens on Monday 2nd July and forms can either be collected in person from the Manor Walks Centre Management Suite, downloaded from the Manor Walks website or charities can request a form by emailing info@manorwalks.co.uk

Charities have until 5pm on Friday 13th July to return their completed application form to Manor Walks’ Centre Management or by email at the above address.
