Barratt Developments North East celebrates work with local tradespeople at annual Partner Awards
To celebrate and give thanks to local subcontractors, North East housebuilder Barratt Developments, which encompasses the Barratt and David Wilson Homes brands, recently hosted its annual Partner Awards at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield.
On the night, 230 local tradespeople were in attendance from 29 different companies to recognise and celebrate quality workmanship in the North East. Amongst the awards won on the night included the Outstanding Performance Award for on-site which was given to Stewart Milne, and saw Richard Moat of Lanndman Ltd taking home the Customer Service Award.
Funds were raised at the event for Barratt Developments North East’s charity of the year, Tiny Lives Trust, which works to help care for premature and sick newborn babies, their mothers and families on the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Donations were made by the subcontractors for raffle prizes, with a total figure of £3,847.49 being raised on the night.
Scott Lester, Construction Director at Barratt Developments North East, commented: “I want to send my congratulations to all the winners on the night and thank everyone for coming – it was a fantastic turn out. It is so important that we give recognition to and honour the very best performing subcontractors and partners across all areas of the business, as well as celebrating the success of the developments they have supported us with. We’re pleased we were able to raise such a large amount for Tiny Lives through the awards, too.”
