Taylor&Emmet team turns out for Dronfield 10K
Sporty staff from local solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, braved the heatwave to join Dronfield’s dedicated running community at the town’s annual 10k race.
The firm was not only the event’s main sponsor, but also entered a team of four, who all achieved times of less than one hour, despite the high temperatures.
Having been postponed earlier in the year due to snow, the Taylor&Emmet Dronfield 10k attracted 700 runners from across the area. The male and female races were won by Philip Hoole and Jane Batty, in times of 34:30 and 41:22 respectively.
Taylor&Emmet’s team was led by web developer, Mike Robinson, who completed the course in 49:43, followed closely by head of the firm’s Dronfield office and conveyancing specialist, Sarah Gaunt, in 55:03. Her colleague and family law expert, Rachel Barlow, helped Dronfield’s mayor, councillor Philip Wright, present medals to all successful competitors.
Josh Proud, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing manager and fellow runner, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with the organisers of Dronfield’s 10k to ensure the success of this popular and well-regarded event. Being part of such a friendly crowd of competitors and spectators was a great experience. Following the postponement earlier in the year, everyone was eager to make the most of the extra few months’ training!”
To celebrate its sponsorship of the Dronfield 10k, Taylor&Emmet asked participants to share their reasons for running to be in with a chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher. Many of the competitors extolled the mental and physical benefits, some were wanting to achieve personal goals and others were looking forward to sharing the occasion with friends and family. The winner was Sarah Allcard, who was selected at random.
