Southall firm rebuilt after 2015 fire with six-figure HSBC funding

A Southall firm devastated by a fire three years ago is rebuilding its business with six-figure funding.

Ranco Kitchens & Bedrooms was founded in 2006 by Parminder Ranauta and his uncle, Harbinder Ranouta.

The pair grew the company over 12 years, eventually achieving a turnover of £1m from a base in two units on Perivale industrial estate.

But in June 2015 a blaze destroyed Ranco’s premises, machinery and equipment along with 23 other units at Perivale.

Parminder and Harbinder have since worked to get the business back up and running.

Ranco Kitchens & Bedrooms provides made-to-measure bedroom and kitchen furniture for the trade industry across West London.

HSBC supported the firm by freezing the interest and capital repayment on their loan for three months, in addition to providing funding for Ranco to acquire a new unit and reconstruct the damaged space.

Parminder said: “We have received so much support from our customers and suppliers over the last few years.

“The destruction caused by the fire made us even more determined to rebuild our business, and the funding from HSBC has allowed us not only to purchase a new unit but to reconstruct the buildings we lost.”

HSBC’s area director for business banking in the Home Counties, Stephen Carr, said: “Parminder and Harbinder are both passionate about rebuilding their business and we are delighted to be able to support them in doing so.

“They have worked tirelessly since the fire to retain clients, fulfilling orders by subcontracting much of the work until they are back on their feet.”
