Trio of land sales to deliver 338 new homes across West and East Yorkshire
338 new homes are set to be delivered in West and East Yorkshire following the completion of a hat-trick of sales of residential development sites.
On behalf of Agfa Graphics, property services firm Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated the sale of 7.6 acres of surplus land adjacent to its existing manufacturing facility at Coal Road in Leeds to Redrow Homes.
Redrow has now commenced The Hawthorns development, which comprises 72 three and four-bedroom homes.
On behalf of the Highfield Partnership, Cushman & Wakefield has also completed the sale of eight acres of former agricultural land in Driffield, East Yorkshire to Kier Living.
The proposed scheme will deliver 86 three and four-bedroom homes and forms Phase 2 of its Sycamore Park development.
Finally, whilst acting on behalf of the Hull & East Yorkshire NHS Trust, Cushman & Wakefield secured the sale of 20 acres of surplus land opposite Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham to Persimmon Homes.
The proposed scheme of 180 dwellings will include a broad range of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
Phil Roebuck, partner and head of residential development at Cushman & Wakefield in Leeds, commented: “The need to significantly increase the supply of housing of all types and tenures is well publicised. Working with housebuilders and land owners, we are looking to meet this challenge through the release and development of suitable land.
“We are delighted to have completed the sale of these three excellent development sites which will make a significant contribution to housing supply in West and East Yorkshire.”
