Caddick to build warehouse scheme in Leeds for Towngate plc
Family-run building company Caddick Construction is set to deliver industrial space in Leeds for Yorkshire-based property firm Towngate plc.
Caddick Construction will build a series of portal-framed warehouses with metal cladding in Cross Green, off Junction 45 of the M1 motorway.
The project, which includes external works and improvements to on-site drainage, is already underway.
Phase one comprises the 55,000 sq ft TL1 and 62,500 sq ft TL2 units, both speculatively built and due for completion in February.
Andrew Murray, managing director at Caddick Construction, said: “As a Yorkshire-based, family business, it’s great to be working with another local business specialising in industrial property, which is a huge growth area not just for us but the real estate sector as a whole.”
Robert Smith, managing director of Towngate plc, commented: “Caddick Construction have a proven track record of delivering institutional-grade assets, and as we look to capitalise on growing demand for industrial space in the North we couldn’t ask for a better delivery partner.”
Caddick Construction is part of Caddick Group plc, a £150m-turnover business.
