Leading Restaurant Re-Launch

A luxury hotel and spa in County Durham has re-branded its award-winning restaurant with the help of ‘hero makers’ from Newcastle.

Boom Creative were asked by Seaham Hall, one of the region’s most desirable luxury leisure destinations to re-brand and re-position the hotel’s restaurant.

Tony Phillipson, Creative Director at Boom Creative explains: “Seaham Hall could already boast being a multi award-winning venue, so our creative team had to have an intensive approach, beginning with a deep discovery of the brand.

“What we found, at every level of the business, was a team driven by a genuine passion for what they do. Their desire is to deliver a truly unique experience, and one that forms a lasting and meaningful relationship.

Seaham Hall in County Durham boasts individually styled, luxurious suites and is home to the award-winning Serenity Spa. It also represents luxurious dining at its best. Whether you’re looking to experience the very best in British luxury dining or enjoy exciting authentic Pan-Asian cuisine in an equally extravagant location, Seaham Hall and its restaurants are amongst the most exclusive places to eat in Durham.

“Seaham Hall is about comfort, friendliness and deliciousness at every point of the experience so a successful new identity for the restaurant had to be a natural extension of the cool, quirky, contemporary style of the hotel. We explored many options, but it was ‘The Dining Room’ that offered a look and feel that was clean, simple, and understated.”

The restaurant’s new identity is displayed in copper foil paired with a rich dark grey - a combination that perfectly complements the interior’s new neutral palette, with soft tan leather and dark chocolate tweed textures. The creative approach reinforces the quirky personality of the restaurant and its honest love of the region.

Becky Horner of Seaham Hall commented: “We’re very fortunate to be in such an amazing location with the rugged North Sea facing us and glorious countryside all about, the Dining Room has the finest ingredients right on its doorstep.

“All our guests enjoy relaxed and friendly dining with a difference at the Dining Room. And the interior is something to behold from the glittering 14 carat gold plated chandeliers to the fabulous Georgian windows with stunning views. We’re delighted with the new look created by Boom and look forward to welcoming clients, old and new, to experience what The Dining Room has to offer.”

Roy Weatherley - Creative Director at Boom Creative added: “There is no one-size-fits-all at Boom. Our clients work with us in many different ways. We offer four complimentary creative specialisms: Advertising, Design, Illustration and Packaging. Four specialisms connected by one thought: hero creation.” Boom Creative’s studio is located at Hoults Yard on the site of the 19th century Maling pottery.

Other ‘Heroes’ include: Barbour, Dame Allan’s Schools, Bamburgh Capital and Wynyard Homes.
