Touchdown! Local housebuilder meets rugby club appeal for sponsorship

Continuing its support of the communities in which it builds, leading housebuilder, Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, has sponsored Oulton Raiders Rugby Club in Oulton, which is close to its St Oswald’s View development in Methley.

Barratt Homes has sponsored the team £600 to help support the running costs of the club, as well as fund its home and away kits. To celebrate the sponsorship, Emma Fitton-Cook, Sales Manager at St Oswald’s View and Sue Stoddart and Jenny Laslett Sales Advisers at the development, visited the team to present them with a cheque.

Steve Gill, Coach at Oulton Raiders Rugby Club, commented: “We are all extremely grateful to Barratt Homes’ St Oswald’s View site for generously supporting the team this year. We rely heavily on the help from the local community and it is great that businesses such as Barratt Homes get behind clubs and groups in the areas they are building new homes. Their support helps ensure there are established activities for new residents setting up home here to join in with and become a part of their surrounding community.” Emma commented: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Oulton Raiders Rugby Club this year and supporting the team in its growth and success. We look forward to cheering on the players and hope to see them continue to thrive. Perhaps we’ll see some of our new residents signing up too!”
