Stockton telecoms firm upgrades car park to accommodate green fleet
Telecommunications firm Odyssey Systems has announced the next phase of expansion at its Stockton head office.
The company is undertaking a large-scale extension of its car park to accommodate electric vehicle charge points, as it prepares to invest in its fleet by purchasing a raft of 2019 Nissan Leaf cars.
Under its commitment to maintaining a greener footprint, Odyssey has also installed solar reflective film on the windows of its premises – an energy-saving measure that reduces its reliance on air-conditioning.
Mike Odysseas, MD of Odyssey Systems, said: “Once fully-operational, the results of our long-term strategy will further enhance the delivery of services to clients that will improve productivity.
“It is a significant investment that builds on our move to a new, fully-functional head office, while demonstrating our ongoing commitment to clean energy and minimising our carbon footprint.”
He added: “This marks another exciting period in our company’s history as the site development and further investment in our transport fleet and new technologies will future-proof our operation.”
The upgrades follow a fit-out and refurbishment of Odyssey’s Preston Farm HQ in 2016 that created a further 20,000 sq ft of space for North East businesses.
