Healthy chain Naked Deli lands at Newcastle International

Healthy restaurant chain The Naked Deli has arrived at Newcastle International.

The outlet, located in the airport’s departure lounge, is offering passengers pre-prepared salad bowls, wraps, smoothies and other treats.

A Newcastle-based company, The Naked Deli operates from branches in Gosforth, Heaton and Fenwick Food Hall.

The head of commercial at Newcastle International, Dean Ward, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer something new for our passengers to enjoy in this world-first airport outlet.

“Passengers love The Naked Deli brand and feedback so far has been extremely positive.”

He added: “With more and more of our passengers becoming increasingly health conscious, it is important that our food and beverage options reflect this and we continue to offer something for everyone.”

Naked Deli director Kirstie Kimmins, who announced the expansion plan last month, commented: “We’re overjoyed with the positive feedback from passengers about our brand new outlet.

“It’s our fourth concession and our first in an airport so we’re extremely excited to see what the future holds.”

She added: “The menu has gone down extremely well so far but we will be regularly changing and adapting it to suit the needs of the Airport passengers.”
