Barratt Developments strengthens North East Technical team with new director

Barratt Developments North East, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has strengthened its technical team with the appointment of Mark Davis as Technical Director.

Mark, who has worked in the construction industry for 22 years, was previously Technical Director at Strata Homes; a role he occupied for 12 years.

In his previous role, Mark was a key driving force in ensuring technical accuracy for all new and on-going builds – managing the planning, design, engineering and architectural disciplines within Strata Homes’ technical department. In his new position at Barratt Developments, he will be working across the same disciplines, leading a team to ensure technical compliance across all of the developments. A primary focus for Mark will be to maintain the housebuilder’s five-star Home Builders Federation (HBF) rating, which is now in its ninth consecutive year.

Commenting on the appointment, Mark said: “I am extremely excited to be joining the country’s largest volume housebuilder and am looking forward to getting stuck into my new role. Barratt Group was recently awarded a maximum five-star rating for the ninth consecutive year in the 2018 Home Builders Federation Customer Satisfaction Survey. The accolade means that more than 90% of its customers say they would recommend its homes to a friend. It also means that Barratt Developments is now the only major national housebuilder to be accredited as a five-star builder for nine years in a row.
