Triple success for Switch2 in national energy awards
Switch2 Energy has been named a triple finalist in a top national energy awards scheme.
The company has been shortlisted in three of eight categories in the prestigious Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) Awards. This marks its achievements in community and district heating over the past four decades.
Switch2’s Head of Customer Services, Fiona McDonald, is in the running for the Champion award. This recognises her leadership in raising standards of customer service excellence in the energy industry and her recent appointment to the national Heat Trust Committee, which leads customer protection for the sector.
A radical new solution to improve heat network efficiency and reliability has earned the company a place on the Innovation Award shortlist for its new Switch2 Optimise solution. The company is also in contention for the Domestic Award – for its smart metering partnership with Wolverhampton Homes, which is delivering affordable heat to customers.
This is Switch2’s third year of success at the awards. Last year, the company won the Customer Engagement Award of the Decade for its exemplary standards of customer service, and it also won the top award for customer care in 2016.
Kirsty Lambert, Director of Switch2 Energy, said: “We are very proud to be shortlisted for three awards and gain recognition for our contribution to the heat network sector. This is testimony to our decades of industry experience and the professionalism of our talented team, who always put the customer at the heart of our services and continuous innovation process. Fiona McDonald is a shining example of this commitment to the customer and is a very deserving finalist.”
The awards ceremony will take place at London’s Guildhall on Wednesday 24 October 2018.
