One marks 10th anniversary with professional advertising body

Sale-based integrated communications agency, One, has marked a decade of affiliation with the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).

The world’s most influential professional body for practitioners in advertising and marketing communications, the IPA has a well-earned reputation for thought leadership, best practice and continuous professional development.

There are more than 25,000 marketing agencies across the UK and just 268 are IPA members – the equivalent of just slightly more than one per cent of the total.

The IPA was established almost 100 years ago and its programmes can be found in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Alongside its commitment to the IPA, all One employees must undertake a minimum of 24 hours CPD (Continual Professional Development) per year and those in the early stages of their career are encouraged to complete the IPA Foundation Certificate.

During it’s 10-years with the IPA, 24 staff have undertaken the IPA Foundation Certificate, 7,961 CPD hours have been logged, 55 employees have attended 28 different training courses and 136 people have attended a total of 33 events.

Will English, client services director at One and nominated IPA liaison, said: “One was established in 1973, so to have been a member of the industry’s leading professional body for almost a quarter of our existence is testament to our commitment to providing a quality service.

“Being an IPA member stands us apart from the competition and is something we like to hang our hat on for new business pitches, so we’re really pleased to have reached this 10-year milestone.

“We’re extremely proud that our 35-strong workforce is as committed to the IPA as we are and are looking forward to the next ten years together brings.”

Offering digital, PR, social services, advertising and design to a range of B2B and B2C clients, the agency’s client roster includes Hoover, Taylor Wimpey, United Utilities and Bupa.
