The King’s Head is Named a Finalist in John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards
**The King’s Head at Hursely has been named a finalist in the ‘Best Managed Pub’ category in the John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards 2018. **
Mark Thornhill, of the King’s Head at Hursley, said “We are elated, these are classed as the ‘Oscars’ for our industry and to be ranked so highly in a national competition is testament to our great team at The King’s Head.”
The Kings head has been awarded a multitude of awards over the past three years including Best Pub in Hampshire 2018, 2017 & 2016 in the National Pub & Bar Awards, Team of The Year by Eat Out Awards 2016, Most Delightful Country Bar and Restaurant in Winchester by LUX in their 2016 Hospitality Award as well as being awarded a coveted AA Rosette and being declared an AA 4 Star Silver Inn.

The King’s Head and its team fulfil each criterion for the category of ‘Best Managed Pub’ to the highest standard, making them a worthy finalist. The John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards conclude on Thursday September 6 at The Royal Lancaster, London where the winners are revealed.
