DigitalCity issues call for new Tees Valley scaleup cohort

Business support hub DigitalCity is calling on high-growth companies in the Tees Valley to join its next SCALE cohort.

The three-month programme is designed for entrepreneurs in the digital and technology space who want to take their venture to the next level.

Operating from Teesside University with support from the Tees Valley Combined Authority and European Regional Development Fund, DigitalCity works with both digital and non-digital businesses to drive innovation and growth.

Participants will access a fortnightly programme of workshops covering topics such as strategy formation, people and leadership, intellectual property (IP) development and finance.

SCALE also aims to bring in high-profile guest speakers and mentors from digital industries around the world.

David Dixon, investment programme manager with DigitalCity, said: “Making sure that our tech companies realise their full potential for growth is a major priority for DigitalCity and for the Tees Valley.

“While the companies we work with on SCALE come from right across the digital and tech field, they all have one thing in common - that is the ambition, drive and capability to grow their business.”

To date, the scheme has helped 28 firms put processes and systems in place to unlock growth.
