Yorkshire PR Agency to Take on Three Peaks charity Challenge.
Team SLB PR is getting ready to raise money for local charity, PhysCap, by taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in under 12 hours - the 24-mile trek with over 5200ft climb will take place on September 8th over the hills of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Sharon Brigden, SLB PR Director says: ‘We have a long relationship with Physcap and fully support the fabulous work that they do. It’s run entirely by volunteers and so all the money goes to children who need it. It’s often the only place that many families and organisations can get the help that they need. As tough as it will be for us this will be nothing compared to the challenges faced by so many of the children and families receiving PhysCap’s help- it was a no-brainer for us to get involved.’
PhysCap are a Yorkshire based charity who provide funds to buy specialist and therapeutic equipment to improve the quality of life for children suffering from severe physical and mental disabilities.
PhysCap are also appealing to more Yorkshire businesses to choose them as their charity partner so they can boost fundraising efforts to look at new projects across the region and change the lives of more children and families in need.
Sharon, Sam and Laurel are currently in training for the trek and are getting prepared to don their walking boots on September 8th. The PhysCap Yorkshire Three Peaks has raised over £100k in last 3 years and SLB want to add to that!
