Local house builder donates brand new show home furniture to raise funds for local charity superstore
Barratt Developments, which comprises of the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has donated a collection of furniture from their Berry Edge development in Consett to the Age UK County Durham superstore in Durham.
The donated collection includes two double beds, two bedside chests, a three-seater sofa, a round dining table with four chairs, a TV stand, a side table and a selection of other homely accessories. In addition to the donation, Barratt Developments is advising anyone moving house to declutter and donate any of their unwanted items to the Age UK County Durham superstore.
Tracy Clark-McCabe, Sales Manager at Berry Edge, commented: “We are delighted to donate the furniture from our showhome to charity, choosing Age UK County Durham as it is an organisation that truly makes a difference to so many people in the area. We hope that the addition of these brand new furniture items will raise funds that will go towards helping the charity support older people.”
Age UK County Durham work hard to promote the wellbeing of all older people and to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Aiming to address the causes of difficulties faced by older people, Age UK County Durham help and support those in need.
