A spot of tea! Barratt Homes hosts afternoon tea celebration at local care home

Inspired by Afternoon Tea Week, local housebuilder Barratt Homes Yorkshire West has hosted afternoon tea for the residents of Knowle Court care home, which is close to its Weavers Chase development in Golcar.

22 residents at Knowle Court enjoyed an afternoon of sandwiches, scones, cakes, tea and storytelling, catered for by Barratt Homes. Jonathan Hannah of Barratt Homes was on hand to start the celebrations and to help the staff to serve residents their special afternoon tea, as well as hear stories about the local area.

Jonathan commented: “It was brilliant to have afternoon tea with the residents at Knowle Court and to hear their stories about the area’s history. It’s really important for us to create strong connections with our local communities and what better way to do that than over a good cup of tea and slice of cake!”

Matthew Lunn, Manager of Knowle Court said: “The residents had a brilliant time enjoying afternoon tea with Jonathan and hearing about the new community at Weavers Chase. We would like to thank Barratt Homes for organising a lovely afternoon, and coming down to get to know some of their neighbours.”

Weavers Chase is a collection of three and four bedroom family homes built in stone to reflect the local architecture in Golcar. Homes are available to purchase from £189,995. For more information, please visit: https://www.barratthomes.co.uk/weaverschase
