The King’s Head Wins Award for ‘Best Managed Pub’ at John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards

The King’s Head at Hursley is delighted to announce that they have won the prestigious ‘Best Managed Pub’ accolade in the John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards. Mark Thornhill, of the King’s Head at Hursley, said “It’s a real honour for The King’s Head to be recognised by (what we like to call!) the Oscars of our industry. Penny and I are incredibly proud of the entire King’s Head team and this award reflects their hard work and commitment!”

The King’s head has been awarded a string of awards over the past three years including Best Pub in Hampshire 2018, 2017 & 2016 in the National Pub & Bar Awards, Team of The Year by Eat Out Awards 2016, Most Delightful Country Bar and Restaurant in Winchester by LUX in their 2016 Hospitality Award as well as being awarded a coveted AA Rosette and being declared an AA 4 Star Silver Inn.

The John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards took place on Thursday September 6 at The Royal Lancaster, London where the winners were revealed. The King’s Head is part of The Epicurean Collection, a group of independent boutique countryside inns and city pubs dedicated to the finest in British food, comfort and culture.
