Animal feed manufacturer to establish new 25,000 sq ft North Yorkshire base
An industrial development near Ripon has been let to a manufacturer of animal feed ahead of completion.
Yorkshire firm I’Anson Brothers Limited will occupy a 25,000 sq ft industrial unit at the entrance to the new A1M50 Industrial and Distribution Park in Melmerby.
The building, Unit 1, will enable the company to expand its Masham operations, acting as a hub for customers across North Yorkshire and further afield.
Chris I’Anson, managing director of I’Anson Brothers Ltd, said: “Unit 1 at A1M50 is ideally placed for us, being close both to our manufacturing in Masham and close to the motorway network.
“This means our customers from around Yorkshire and the UK will have an efficient collection point for their goods, which will help us improve our customer service and product stocks at both sites.”
Elsewhere The Potter Group, the company behind A1M50, is preparing to start work on another 25,000 sq ft unit that has been pre-let to an existing tenant at the park.
Potter Group MD Matthew Lamb commented: “The Potter Group is delighted to confirm this latest letting to I’Anson Brothers Limited within our A1M50 Industrial and Distribution Park.
“This development clearly demonstrates the quality of buildings on offer, coupled with an excellent location and we look forward to a long-term working relationship with Chris and the rest of the team.”
A1M50 is a 10-acre extension to Potter Group’s 42-acre Melmerby Industrial Estate.
Fox Lloyd Jones and Gent Visick are joint agents on the site.
Paul Fox, director of property advisory firm Fox Lloyd Jones, said of the deal: “The decision to speculatively build on this location has been fully vindicated by the unit being pre-let prior to completion, further underlining the strength of demand in the North Yorkshire market for well-located sites.”
