NEXT PHASE OF LUXURY RENTAL PROPERTIES REVEALED

Following the tremendous success of Spinning Acres phase one, where the last few of the two, four and five-bedroom rental properties remain, the second phase of this luxury £40m private rented sector (PRS) urban village development in Far Headingley, has just been announced.

With a departure from the family homes focus of phase one, the next phase of Spinning Acres, called Cloth Halls, features 31 spacious one and two-bedroom apartments built over three floors. Here the spotlight is very much on young professionals, the mature downsizer or recent retirees.

Developer, Pickard Properties, has maintained the same high standard of fixtures, fittings and contemporary interiors throughout as seen in phase one, with accommodation that strikes a balance between the heritage of this six-acre conservation site with its two-acre village green and the immediate environment – which is widely regarded as one of the most exclusive residential areas of Leeds and is located at the heart of the Far Headingley Conservation Area.

Externally the building has been designed to complement the Victorian architecture of the surrounding area. The imposing entrance is approached by a landscaped forecourt, there are electric vehicle charging points and all the accommodation is of generous proportions, whether one or two bedrooms. The main living space benefits from large bay windows at ground and first floor levels while top floor apartments have wonderfully high ceilings including Velux roof lights and electric blinds, providing a high standard of natural daylight.

Kitchens are both stylish, yet functional, with five different German-made designs to choose from complemented by a range of top quality built-in appliances. Bathrooms are by Yorkshire firm, Scudo with modern glass shower cubicles, wall-hung washbasins and are tiled from floor to ceiling in both smooth and ridged tiles.

Additionally, each apartment comes with an online moving in guide for those who are new to the area and a year-round call out service for maintenance and repairs, so help is always at hand with a 24-hour emergency contact. Security for occupiers is further assured with a comprehensive sprinkler system and CCTV cameras throughout.

Miles Pickard, director, explains the vision for phase two: “Phase one of Spinning Acres has been met with wide acclaim by all those who have visited the development and it has already won an industry award. We wanted to continue in the same vein with the second phase, maintaining the high standards of finish, attention to detail, quality of fixtures and fittings and of course the interior layouts.

“It is all about effortless living at Spinning Acres and with phase two, which will appeal to anyone who is not prepared to compromise on their surroundings or aspirations but wants to live near the city centre, a home here is the perfect choice.

“This is our most ambitious private rented scheme to date and we are particularly proud of what we have achieved so far. We see Spinning Acres evolving into a thriving new community for Far Headingley and we are hard at work now with the next phases which will become available in 2019 and beyond.
