Anesco executive chairman joins global heavyweights to speak at Climate Week NYC
Leading UK renewables developer, Anesco, is to join global representatives from across government and industry, at a prestigious event that aims to make climate action a reality.
Climate Week NYC, now in its tenth year, is run by The Climate Group and takes place annually during the UN General Assembly. The event brings together delegates from across the world, who are shaping markets and setting policy.
High profile attendees at this year’s event, include Mars, Microsoft, Facebook, ENEL, Ricoh, ROCKWOOL Group, ZipCar, Estee Lauder and Bloomberg, along with several heads of state.
With substantial experience in supporting businesses to improve their energy efficiency and capitalise on renewable technologies, Steve Shine, Anesco executive chairman, will be part of a panel offering companies solutions to transitioning to 100% clean energy, in a way that maximises benefits for both themselves and the climate.
Shine will be outlining the opportunity presented to corporates by renewable innovations, including solar PV and energy storage, and setting out the business case for investing in such technologies and making other energy efficiency improvements ‘behind the meter’.
Shine commented: “It’s an honour to be joining such prestigious company at Climate Week NYC. It is a pivotal moment in the advancement of renewables, as more and more companies are investing in such technologies – no longer seeing them as just a ‘nice-to-have’ but a vital part of their long term operational plans.
“Whether it’s investment in solar panels, battery storage units, energy efficiency measures or any combination, our customers are achieving a great return. As well as reducing their carbon emissions and energy costs, they are opening the door to new revenue streams and boosting their competitive edge.”
