Hotel to open onsite vintage store as part of further investment
Owners of an independent North East hotel have invested £450k to create a unique onsite antique and vintage store.
The family run South Causey Inn near Beamish, has recruited 10 new members of staff, and will create two, two storey hot tub houses as well as the new vintage shop as part of the investment..
Philip and Susan Moiser took over the hotel in 2007, and have so far invested more than £2.5m in the venue, including the conversion of a London bus into accommodation.
Co-owner, Philip Moiser, said: “The last couple of years have seen significant changes and investment.
“We regularly are asked about the unusual vintage decor in the rooms and within the hotel, therefore we decided to open an onsite store, Raine and James, which will be managed by my daughter, Harriet Moiser.”
Harriet added: “This is an exciting new chapter in the hotel which I’m delighted to be involved with. The items sourced are all unique and can’t be found on the High Street.”
The store will open at 9.30am tomorrow (Saturday, September 22).
