Contractor chosen for huge student scheme near Wembley Stadium
Developer Cole Waterhouse has named building firm Bowmer & Kirkland as the contractor for its First Way Campus development in Wembley.
The contract, valued at £54m, will see the construction firm deliver a 1.6-acre student campus just a few minutes’ walk from Wembley Stadium.
First Way Campus will be part of Unite Students’ portfolio and include 680 beds along with a mix of academic, office and outdoor space.
The development will form part of the ongoing Wembley Regeneration project.
Damian Flood, chief exec of Manchester- and London-based Cole Waterhouse, said: “We are delighted with the appointment of Bowmer and Kirkland and it represents another great step forward in delivering this exciting scheme. We have worked with Bowmer & Kirkland over a 15-year period and have great confidence in their ability to perform.”

Matthew Cruttenden, director at Bowmer & Kirkland, commented: “First Way Campus will deliver a fantastic space for students and this scheme will be a significant element of the Wembley Park Regeneration Area.
“Bowmer and Kirkland have the experience of delivering major student accommodation projects and we are looking forward to getting started.”
Work on First Way Campus will get underway later this month.
