Speaking about receiving the RoSPA order of distinction for the 18th year, Anthony Jones, MD of MTE said: “We are thrilled to be achieving the high standards of accident prevention and health and safety management required for the gold order of distinction year on year. Health and Safety is at the forefront of what we do and to be recognised for our commitment to these practices is an honour. It is also a great credit to everyone in the organisation for maintaining high levels of protection and prevention across all departments.”
MTE has been manufacturing protective equipment across sectors such as oil and gas, nuclear, petrochemical and offshore wind farms for more than 45 years. The ability to consistently meet the standards for the order of distinction results from its commitment to developing health and safety standards across the company.
The RoSPA awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK with countries across the globe entering. The criteria monitors a company’s accident and ill health prevention as well as taking into account accident records, leadership and workforce involvement together with company health and safety management systems.
Anthony added: “The criteria required from RoSPA has remained at the same high standard for many years. In order to keep achieving the highest accreditation awarded by the charity we are always looking for new and innovative ways to maintain and improve our health and safety practices throughout the business. Achieving gold every year for the past 18 years boosts morale throughout the business and inspires us to further develop our safety practices across all international divisions.”
