Tees Valley network launches to unite region's future construction leaders

A group of construction professionals are spearheading a networking cluster in Tees Valley to harness the young professional voice and drive continuous improvement in the region’s built environment industry.

G4C (Generation 4 Change), the national young professional body of Constructing Excellence, has set up a Tees Valley committee following pleas to unlock the overwhelming networking potential within the region.

Launching on 4th October at the Hope & Union bar in the heart of Stockton-on-Tees, G4C Tees Valley is a must for emerging professionals in the region who wish to shape the future of the local construction industry. The launch event itself will be the first of many opportunities in Tees Valley to connect, challenge, debate, drive and influence.

Jonny Frank, Co-Chair of the newly-created G4C Tees Valley and Quantity Surveyor at Faithful+Gould, said: “The Tees Valley has been crying out for a network like this, so we want anyone who is passionate about driving change to step forward and seize the opportunity.

“Our vision is to create a local platform to connect the next generation of leaders within the Tees Valley’s built environment sector. It will give a voice to young, local construction professionals, promote and investigate the very best local opportunities throughout our industry, and celebrate the achievements across the region – it’s a platform of collaboration, recognition and reward.”

Adam Pearce, Co-Chair of the newly-created G4C Tees Valley and Electrical Coordinator at Thirteen, said: “I feel very proud and honoured to be involved in the setup of the Tees Valley group. I’m really excited and passionate about the opportunities that this sector can provide within our local communities, and would like support from local businesses and their young professionals to ensure its success moving forward.”

Catriona Lingwood, Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence in the North East, said: “An integral part of the collaborative ethos of Constructing Excellence, G4C presents a fantastic, unrivalled opportunity to connect with passionate young people across the built environment industry. We currently have a strong committee within the North East including contractors, clients, architects, engineers, planners and more – it has been a great success and therefore want to encourage like-minded individuals to become involved with our new G4C Tees Valley network.”

Nikita Bos, G4C Tees Valley Vice-Chair and Solicitor in Muckle LLP’s construction team, said: “G4C has really helped to develop my own professional network and there is a wealth of young, local talent across the region. This exciting opportunity stands to bring all those talented sector specialists together to inspire, improve and innovate throughout the Tees Valley construction industry.”
