Irish acquisition cements ‘accelerated growth’ at Bradford-based Oscrete
Concrete admixtures business Oscrete has acquired its Irish distribution partner.
The Bradford-based company secured a majority share in Adcrete Ltd, sole distributor of Oscrete products across Ireland and Northern Ireland, to develop its operation in the two countries.
Adcrete was founded in 2016 and works with the precast concrete, ready-mix and ready-to-use mortar industries.
For Oscrete, the deal will build on its growing share of the UK admixtures market, which rose to 12% last year.
Scott Wilson, operations director at Oscrete, said: “The addition of Adcrete to Oscrete’s enterprise offering demonstrates the commitment we have to grow our business in Ireland.
“It is an excellent strategic fit for us and a natural progression that will build on the already strong relationship we have with the Adcrete team.”
Adcrete director Gus Vaughan commented: “We are pleased to become part of the Oscrete and Christeyns family of businesses.
“I am confident that this amalgamation will lead to accelerated growth for all stakeholders. We look forward to a strong and successful future together.”
Oscrete is part of the Christeyns UK group of businesses.
