Mother & daughter duo score hat-trick after 3rd beauty award win this year

Gateshead based cosmetics and semi-permanent makeup business, Lasting Enhancements, took home the gold for Semi-Permanent Make Up Salon Of The Year at the first ever The North East Beauty Industry Awards, staving off fierce competition from across the region.

Mother and daughter team, Linda McFarlane and Danielle Cavanagh, fought off 8 other finalists from across the North East to secure Lasting Enhancement’s 3rd beauty award win of the year. The North East Beauty Industry Awards took place at Grand Hotel Gosforth Park Newcastle on Sunday 23rd September, celebrating the best North East beauty businesses which span across a variety of fields such make-up, hairdressing, spas and more.

Previous award successes this year for Lasting Enhancements include Danielle Cavanagh winning Best New Technician in Scalp Micropigmentation award at Scalp Guru’s Meeting Of Minds 2018 in Manchester in May, as well as the business winning WhatClinic’s 2018 Patient Service Award to recognise their excellent customer communication earlier this year.

Award winner, Linda McFarlane, said: “Both myself and Danielle are on cloud nine after winning our third award this year. It’s great to see our hard work paying off, and we’re so grateful for the ongoing support from the people around us, especially our amazing clients. Winning an award at the first ever North East Beauty Awards feels particularly special, and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for next year!”

Lasting Enhancements was founded by Linda in 1999, with her daughter, Danielle, joining the family business in 2012, allowing the business to grow from strength to strength over recent years. The cosmetics company offer a range of semi-permanent makeup treatments such as eyebrows, lipliner and eyeliner, as well as treatments such as scalp micropigmentation and medical tattooing, helping people from across the North East to feel more confident in their own skin.
