Recruitment ‘disruptor’ to double headcount with £3.45m investment

Multi-million pound BGF investment to double headcount at Camden recruitment company

Recruitment company Elements Talent Solutions has received a £3.45m boost to create jobs and open new offices overseas.

The Camden-headquartered business will use the investment from funding provider BGF to accelerate its growth in Europe, the US and the Asia Pacific region.

Elements is aiming to change what it sees as the recruitment industry’s fixation on ‘transaction’ mechanics by focusing instead on people. The firm’s consultants work on-site within a client’s hiring function and partner with them throughout the hiring process.

To date, Elements has worked with a number of global brands in the digital space, including music platform Spotify, online food order brand Just Eat and King.com, creators of the game Candy Crush.

Elements’ workforce has grown from three to around 90 staff in the last three years.

With the new funding from BGF, the company will open offices in the US and Europe and double its headcount during the next 12 months.

Elements Talent Solutions CEO Daniel Goldstein said: “We’re very aware of the ambitious nature of what we’re trying to achieve here. For as long as I can remember, the recruitment industry has been characterised by poor professional standards and a consequent lack of trust and respect from clients.

“Our ‘embedded model’ seeks to subvert that dynamic completely. By investing heavily in the training of our people, we create talent acquisition professionals who are genuine experts in their domain.”

He continued: “The result is genuine partnerships with our clients, where the “us” and “them” divisions of traditional recruitment are replaced by a single, united team laser-focused on delivering the best possible result for the hiring company.”

BGF’s Rahul Satsangi commented: “Fuelled by an ambitious management team, Elements has disrupted the traditional talent acquisition model and successfully supported its clients in recruiting at scale.

“Access to the best-in-class talent can be a significant barrier to growth for ambitious companies all over the world. The demand for Elements’ offering is only going to increase and we are pleased to partner with Dan and his team as they expand their global reach and broaden their sector focus.”

Rahul Satsangi led on the investment from BGF alongside Michael Bacon and Chris Jones.
