The Eagles have landed
EAGLES, in the shape of Newcastle’s famous basketball team, flew to a new fitness facility yesterday to put it and its staff through their paces.
Fab Flournoy and his teammates were guests of honour at an open day at AOFT City Campus & Gym, at Benfield Road, where they tried out the state-of-the-art equipment for themselves under the watchful eye of manager Levi Williams.
More than just a gym, the centre is also an educational facility which offers 12-week fitness courses leading to qualifications in sports massage, pilates and personal training.
“We have only been open a few weeks, but the response has been amazing,” said Levi, “and we were over the moon to get a visit from The Eagles.”
