Talented Teen’s Launch Their Own Marketing Agency
Two talented TEENAGERS have come together to launch their own Huddersfield-based digital marketing agency, Beanie Media.
Melissa Roberts and Dan Atkinson, both aged 19, attended Shelley College together where they both studied business and media. Now, 4 years later, the digital enthusiasts have combined their skills in marketing and video and design in order to launch their own agency.
Melissa, whose expertise lies within social media and creative writing, has wasted no time in building her skills since leaving school in 2015. Having worked for two established marketing firms while she studied business studies at Kirklees College, the ambitious teen already boasts 3 years’ industry experience.
Dan’s focus is on video and design, which he continued to develop his skills in while running his own garden maintenance business. The tech-savvy teen built his gardening business up by using his video and social media skills and is now helping others to do the same.
The pair have already begun working with strong industry names including market-leading e-liquid manufacturer Venom-Vapes, skincare specialists Mid Yorkshire Skincare Clinic, and global automotive traders, SS Components.
Josh Singh, Director of Venom-Vapes Ltd, said: “I began working with Beanie Media 3 months ago as I wanted to boost Venom-Vapes B2C sales. Melissa takes care of our social media and she’s doing a fantastic job- we’ve seen a 200% growth in sales from our website already. We’re now in the process of having our website re-designed by Beanie Media. Do not be fooled by their age, these two really know their stuff!”
Melissa Roberts, Co-Owner of Beanie Media, commented: “It has never been more important for businesses to hold a social media presence. Beanie Media has been set up to provide local SMEs with high quality, affordable online marketing–a service we felt was lacking in the local area. We’ve got some really exciting projects coming up, and I can’t wait to get stuck into them.”
