Universal Wolf takes top spot as North East’s best in-house brand creation
Universal Wolf has been judged the North East’s best “in-house brand creation of the year” at the inaugural North East Marketing Awards by Echo Events and Association Management.
The accolade follows a year of transformation for the company in which they changed their name from the long established Tharsus Engineering to Universal Wolf. The bold decision was taken to differentiate the business from their competitors and better reflect their brand ethos, values and commitment to customers.
Looking at the creation of a brand identity, the judges hailed Universal Wolf for its clear understanding of the company strategy, the needs and aspirations for the rebrand as well as the design, originality, implementation and consistency of use.
Speaking about the award, Universal Wolf managing director Patrick Macdonald said: “Universal Wolf is a Shakespearean term for ambition and appetite, which perfectly fitted what we wanted to convey about our business. At the heart of the Universal Wolf brand is a passion to do things better and a hunger to constantly exceed our customer’s expectations. Our new name had to reflect this and together with our agency partners Gardiner Richardson and Union Room, I am confident we have successfully delivered a compelling brand which has disrupted traditional metal fabrication industry conventions.
“Today’s accolade tells us that this confidence is well placed. The result is testament to the hard work of our team of experts, who are devoted to realising the messages behind our brand; making a meaningful difference for our customers, ensuring we are continuously raising the bar when it comes to the quality of the products we create and reinforcing our status as leaders in the complex metal fabrication field.”
