New Wetherby care home to create nearly 50 jobs
A residential and dementia care home opening in Wetherby is set to create dozens of jobs.
Once fully staffed, Windsor Court will employ almost 50 people across managerial, carer, kitchen, domestic, hospitality and administration roles.
Developer LNT Care Developments is on site at Sandbeck Way delivering the scheme, which will be run by Ideal Carehomes and comprise 66 beds over two floors
Home manager Paula Mountjoy, who is overseeing the recruitment, said: “It is so exciting to be with Windsor Court right from the start and to be recruiting our caring staff team.
“I am extremely keen to promote care as a positive career choice with plenty of progression for the right people.”
She continued: “I am regularly visiting our new home to keep an eye on the progress and I have actually been inside for the first time this week which was brilliant!
“We will have an amazing building to work in so once I have my full staff team, everything will be in place to provide a great place to live for our future residents.”
Sarah Colling, head of HR at Ideal Carehomes, commented: “We are really looking forward to meeting the people of Wetherby and beyond and helping them to find a rewarding new role.
“Paula and I are committed to recruiting and retaining the very best team for Windsor Court and if our staff are keen to progress, we will help them – Paula is a great example of this.”
Windsor Court will open early next year.
