The Marketing Centre Further Expands into the South
The Marketing Centre is rapidly expanding across the Southern counties with its latest appointees, Alan Edwards and Julie Strawson. With Christine Durkin spearheading the regional team, Alan and Julie will be supporting the development of the part-time marketing director service into Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
The Marketing Centre, a seven-year old business that has pioneered the concept of part-time marketing directors, has a team of 85+ part-time marketing directors covering nine regions across England and Wales. There is growing demand for the service, which was founded in response to the increasing number of SME’s looking to invest in marketing, but who were unable to budget for the creation of a full-time position.
Alan has considerable experience ranging from large global technology brands such as IBM, Sun Microsystems and Manhattan Associates, to smaller growth businesses such as Netstore and Cogeco Peer 1.
Julie understands how to grow from a start-up, to SME, to an international plc. With a background working in-house in sales and marketing leadership roles, Julie is laser focused on the customer to increase profit and identify new opportunities for businesses. She is able to operate in any industry sector as a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
The Marketing Centre typically works with businesses that turn over between £2million and £50 million and uses a proven system, driven by marketing professionals who generally have 20+ years’ experience in senior roles. Regional Director of The Marketing Centre, Christine Durkin, said:
“It’s great at to be expanding the team again to support the marketing needs of small to medium sized enterprises in the South. Not only can we offer proven part-time marketing director expertise to support the growth in a business, we can provide a choice of marketing directors too - covering every potential need.”
Alan Edwards added: “I work with businesses to deliver impactful, integrated marketing and in particular, and I love helping them define their marketing strategy in alignment with their business objectives. This ensures that marketing can be efficient and effective with clear target markets, propositions, pricing and promotion strategies, and - most importantly - metrics and reporting.”
Julie Strawson said: “I’m delighted to join The Marketing Centre. I really enjoy working with different brands, businesses and people, and I am looking forward to getting started and bringing The Marketing Centre’s expertise to businesses local to me.”
