New North East beauty app to offer salon-level pampering at home
A new beauty app that allows people to get a salon-like pamper at home is launching in the the North East next year.
Users of the Bloom app will be able to experience treatments including nails, make-up, tanning and waxing in the comfort of their own home.
It will target working ladies, full-time mums and anyone without the time or resources to get out to a salon, with features including a therapist dispatch tracker, e-signature satisfaction confirmation and a 9am-to-9pm booking window.
Bloom is recruiting both independent and salon-based beauty therapists who want to fill their diaries, boost their professional portfolio and ramp up their earning potential.
The company said professionals on its platform will earn ‘at least three times’ the average salon hourly rate as a minimum per appointment.
Rachel Cotton, marketing manager at Bloom Mobile Beauty, said: “Bloom has been created for two reasons, firstly, to address the needs of local women who simply cannot get the salon treatments they desire due to work and childcare commitments.
“Secondly, to promote the talent and expertise of beauticians who may never get such recognition working within a salon or as an individual without the time to market themselves effectively.”
She added: “We have the platform and expertise to provide amazing professionals with more clients than they could reach on their own with the additional benefit of a professional support network.”
Bloom is specifically looking for therapists based across Stockton, Middlesbrough, Cleveland and Redcar.
Applicants need an NVQ Level 2 or higher and must be trained in one or several treatments, including waxing, classic and gel polish, make-up application or spray tanning.
The Bloom app will launch in January.
