Newcastle law firm closes first big North West deal since expanding into Manchester
North East law firm Short Richardson & Forth (SRF) has helped complete a deal on a 67,000 sq ft warehouse in the North West – its first sizeable transaction in the region.
The company was instructed to let the scheme, located at Trafford Park in Salford, on behalf of property investment business Peter Stevens Estates Ltd.
Esprit Group will occupy the warehouse on a 10-year lease. The firm is a warehousing and distribution company that specialises in storing and shipping grain and feed.
For Newcastle-based SRF, the deal is its first major soiree in the North West property market, following the launch of its new Manchester office in March.
The head of SRF’s commercial property team, Paul Earnshaw, led on the transaction.
He said: “I have worked with the directors of Peter Stevens Estates for over 10 years and it is pleasing to see the company grow on the back of deals like this one.”
Richard Stevens, director of Peter Stevens Estates, commented: “Trafford Park is a great location for Esprit and we wish them well.
“We were pleased to work with Paul and the team at SRF, who dealt with the deal promptly and worked with us to resolve the issues that a deal of this size creates.”
