Sales Centre opens at transformational development
Show homes on the second phase of a transformational development in Thurnscoe, Barnsley by one of the UK’s leading home builders has been launched.
The development named Willow Heights delivered by Keepmoat Homes in partnership with Barnsley Council and Places for People, will feature 129 new homes when complete. The homes will be a mix of two and three bedroom houses and bungalows, with 109 available for open market sale and 20 made available for Affordable Rent through Registered Provider Places for People.
This second phase of the development builds upon the previous 158 new homes Keepmoat delivered on the site and which sold out in 2015. Keepmoat Homes is continuing to work with Barnsley Council to transform the area through the creation of high quality, beautiful modern homes, public open spaces and a children’s play area
Mark Leaf, Land and Partnerships Director for Keepmoat Homes said ahead of the opening: “The opening of these new show homes marks a significant milestone in the evolution of this site. We’re pleased to be continuing to work in partnership with Barnsley Council to transform this area and are very pleased to have introduced partner Places for People to deliver some new affordable homes on Willow Heights.
“Following the success of the first phase of this development we have had significant interest in the new homes planned for this development and have exchanged contracts with several buyers already. I look forward to welcoming the first residents into their homes in December when they are complete.”
Cllr Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson for Place, said: “We’re delighted to be working in Partnership with Keepmoat Homes once more to deliver the second phase of this development. Both partners are committed to delivering a high quality, value for money development which will include plenty of open space and play facilities. This new phase has attracted a lot of interest already as it provides a mix of property types for all ages. We wish Keepmoat every success in delivering the scheme.”
