Bradford accountants Shenward expand Northern reach with Leeds acquisition
Bradford accountancy and advisory firm Shenward has acquired Leeds-based counterpart Cox Costello & Horne.
The deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, will see Shenward expand its reach in the city and the wider North.
Cox Costello was founded in 1997 as a national practice. It later set out a new venture in the North, led by Zak Iqbal, to better serve clients based in the region.
Sherad Dewedi, managing partner at Shenward, said: “Over the last few months, we have worked closely alongside director Zak Iqbal and have built a strong working relationship which we look forward to develop further.”
“Zak brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and has a fantastic team supporting him.”
Zak Iqbal commented: “I am delighted to have worked with Sherad and his team at Shenward over the last few months.
“Shenward is an ambitious firm with a long history in the Yorkshire area with growth, client services and delivery being at the forefront of its business model.”
He added: “I am sure that Sherad will lead the firm to achieve its goals, where commitment to excellence is their primary objective.”
Law firm Chadwick Lawrence advised on the transaction.
