Historic Newcastle buildings hit the market with £13.6m price tag
An office and leisure property in the heart of Newcastle has come to market with an eight-figure price tag.
Lloyds Court and 52-60 Grey Street, two adjoining Grade II-listed buildings, comprise a combined 46,960 sq ft of space.
Dating back to the 1830s, the buildings comprise five storeys of office space with retail-leisure units at ground level.
The Newcastle office of commercial real estate services company Cushman & Wakefield has been tasked with finding a buyer for the asset. The firm is seeking offers in excess of £13.6m.
A mix of tenants already call the property home, including energy firm Northern Powergrid, recruitment agency Nigel Wright, casual dining chain Las Iguanas and Sk:n clinic. Occupants contribute a passing rent of just over £1.01m
Peter Atkinson, partner in the capital markets team at Cushman & Wakefield Newcastle, said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the best located and prestigious assets in Newcastle with significant value add potential.”
