The Royal College Of Physicians Celebrate 500-Year Anniversary With Carringtons Catering Dinner
The Royal College of Physicians hosted its 500-year anniversary Gala Dinner at Liverpool’s St George’s Hall following its announced move to the city with RCP North.
The high-profile event was catered for by award-winning local company, Carringtons Catering, which provided a four-course feast for over 400 guests.
The Royal College of Physicians welcomed its President Professor Andrew Goddard alongside City of Liverpool CEO Mr Tony Reeves and Executive Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Liverpool Professor Louise Kenny.
Director of Carringtons Catering Helen Wynn said: “This was a fantastic event to be a part of and it was an honour to work alongside such an important and long-standing establishment in the form of the RCP. The fact that they chose Liverpool as the location for this event marks such an important time for the city region in terms of its reputation and economic prominence.
“Now that Liverpool is attracting a whole host of businesses, we’ve seen a huge rise in the number of corporate events that we’re catering, from dinners to awards ceremonies. We predict that this will continue to grow in line with visitor numbers to the city which are at an all-time high. We’ve worked tirelessly to enhance the reputation of the region over the last decade, working with venues such as The Anglican Cathedral and Liverpool Town Hall and it is great to see that national statistics reflect the advancements that have been made.”
The Royal College of Physicians Gala Dinner was hosted in Liverpool to mark its move the region where it will occupy a site within the Knowledge Quarter, a collaborative space that brings together the city’s key partners in a creative environment.
Helen added: “It is always an honour to cater for important events often with influential members of our business community in attendance. It was a real privilege to showcase our innovative dishes, using locally sourced ingredients, served by a locally trained team to the likes of the RCP President himself.
“The launch of RCP North is a real testament to the developments that have been ongoing for several years within our business and corporate community and reflect just how far Liverpool has come as a city.”
RCP Deputy CEO Clive Constable said: “It was a terrific evening in magnificent surroundings, enjoyed by all who were there. We were pleased to use a local catering firm who provided excellent service in keeping with the high standards we expect”.
