New hires for mmadigital as the company eyes rapid growth
mmadigital, the Manchester-based, technology-powered customer acquisition specialist for the legal sector has made two new appointments as it continues its plans for rapid growth.
It has appointed Stephen Faulkner as finance director, who previously spent 10+ years managing the finances of high growth, Private Equity-backed consumer law firms and financial services businesses. With a wealth of experience in the legal sector, Stephen will sit on the board as a director of mmadigital, helping the business achieve its 400% growth ambitions.
Jonathan Corris has also joined the business as customer acquisition specialist, following six years as head of digital with Roberts Jackson Solicitors. Jonathan brings social media advertising, targeting high value and niche industrial disease and medical negligence claims experience to the role.
mmadigital is responsible for supplying leads into some of the UK’s leading law firms and a large number of fee earners. It currently captures 20-25% of the enquiries in various consumer legal markets through digital marketing using its own brands such as The Compensation Experts and The Medical Negligence Experts.
Due to the growing number of claim enquiries mmadigital handles every day, the Didsbury-based business is on a recruitment drive and is looking to take on more Customer Service Agents to handle new enquiry claims. Fielding calls and online enquiries from people wanting to pursue a range of legal claims, such as personal injury, industrial disease and medical negligence this role offers an alternative career path for law graduates or paralegals looking to use their legal experience.
This latest round of appointments follows a busy few summer months for mmadigital as it recently announced its investment in Collaboras, a Macclesfield-based specialist legal consultancy providing outsourced medico-legal services. Collaboras has a team of medical advisors who are experts in clinical negligence and catastrophic injury claims and are working with mmadigital to provide medical qualification on their generated leads as well as helping with the collation of medical paperwork for mmadigital’s clients.
The new appointments take the total number of new hires at mmadigital to five having also recently taken on three senior members of staff earlier in year: Lisa Clothier joined as director of operations and Timothy Felkin as head of client services and Andy Parkinson as head of legal services.
Commenting on his appointment, Stephen Faulkner, finance director said: “I was delighted to be invited to join mmadigital. The firm is ambitious and has its sights firmly set on dominating the customer acquisitions market in the legal sector. Targeting fast growth and with plans to move into new legal markets such as family law and contested probate, it’s an exciting time to join the business.”
Dez Derry, mmadigital CEO, comments: “Each of our new recruits were appointed due to their legal sector and marketing experience. They are all well placed to support our ambitious growth plans.
“2018 has seen a succession of appointments here at mmadigital as we look to bolster our team’s legal and marketing expertise and we’re always looking for new people with a legal background to join us.
“Our team now boasts a wealth of claim’s experience and this, alongside our growth and expansion plans, will put us in a great position to meet our turnover target of £6million+ within the next three years.”
