David Wilson Homes’ colouring competition awards local school £100

Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, took great delight in handing Bishop Wilton Primary School pupil Phoebe North, age 5, her well-deserved award for winning a colouring competition recently launched by David Wilson Homes’ Pavilion Square development in Pocklington.

Phoebe was awarded a hamper filled with art and craft goodies alongside a £100 Amazon voucher for her school by Rebecca Smith, Senior Sales Adviser at Pavilion Square.

The competition was launched during Halloween as the children were invited to complete a spooky-themed colouring sheet as creatively as they could. The winning design featured bright, vivid colours with a blue, purple and green skyline capturing the imagination of the judges.

Rebecca Smith, Senior Sales Adviser at Pavilion Square, commented: “It has been a pleasure to be so involved with this activity and it’s great to see how much the children enjoyed getting creative. At David Wilson Homes, we are committed to engaging with the local community and this colouring competition reinforces that – I look forward to hearing what Bishop Wilton Primary School bought with their £100 voucher.”

Jean Louden, Head of School at Bishop Wilton Primary School, added: “This has been a lovely activity from start to finish, and the prize-giving event was the cherry on the cake. It was brilliant to see the smile on Phoebe’s face as she received her award and on behalf of the whole school, I’d like to thank David Wilson Homes for inviting us to take part – the £100 prize will certainly be put to good use.”
