Grant International scores with 2019 Asia Cup account win
Grant International has been awarded the contract to supply bespoke accessories for the 2019 Asia Cup, fending off five competitors from across the globe.
The Macclesfield-based company, which designs and manufactures high-quality fashion accessories, was part of a highly competitive tender process. The account win is a landmark moment as it sees the business move into the Asian market for the first time.
The agreement means Grant International will provide corporate luggage and scarves for delegates, backpacks for ball boys and bags for match officials at the tournament, which takes place in the United Arab Emirates and kicks off on 5th January 2019.
Grant International Managing Director, Jason Craven, said: “We’re extremely proud to be given this opportunity and it’s testament to all the hard work that everyone at Grant International has been doing. To be recognised on a global level and as a leader in our industry is particularly pleasing and I’m excited about what the future has in store for the business.”
With a client list that includes the likes of Barbour, Lyle and Scott, Ted Baker and Pretty Green, Grant International was highly recommended to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) due to its knowledge and expertise within the industry.
Jason went on to say: “The tournament attracts sponsorship from major global brands such as Coca Cola, Emirates, Toyota, TAG Heuer and Nikon, so this is a significant opportunity for us as a business. I hope this is the start of a long and successful relationship with the AFC and will put us in an extremely strong position for the 2023 tournament.”
