Yorkshire Company That Is Revolutionising The Aerosol Industry Expands Into Escrick Business Park
A Yorkshire company that is revolutionising the aerosol industry with its pioneering technology is the latest firm to expand into Escrick Business Park, which has been developed by York based S Harrison.
Salvalco was founded at the end of 2013 to commercialise aerosol valves that use ecologically sustainable and safe inert gases, such as fresh compressed air, carbon dioxide or nitrogen, as aerosol propellants. The company’s products allow for safer propellants, to be used, which are significantly better for the environment. Salvalco’s family of valve designs can be used on a vast range of domestic and commercial aerosol products including polishes, toiletries and air fresheners.
Salvalco has now relocated its headquarters from Driffield to 1,400 sq ft at Escrick Business Park, on a five-year lease, as it prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The company, which currently outsources its manufacturing and distribution functions, employs a team of six people and plans to create several new jobs over the coming 12 months.
Phil Hill, from S Harrison, said: “Salvalco is a growing company that is transforming the aerosol industry with its technology and it’s a very welcome addition to Escrick Business Park. The fact that such an innovative company has chosen to base itself at Escrick also speaks volumes about the quality of the business park.
“We still have a small number of office units available, as well as two design and build opportunities that will suit ambitious businesses wanting a standout office, in an idyllic rural location, complete with ultrafast fibre broadband and easy motorway access.” Greig Tulloch, managing director of Salvalco, added: “Escrick Business Park is ideally located just off the A19 which is perfect for our team and visitors, regardless of which direction they’re travelling from. It also offers a superb working environment and the ultrafast broadband was another big plus point. Moving to Escrick will enable us to continue growing and developing our technology, which has positive effects for everyone in the aerosol supply chain, as well as helping the environment, so it’s a really exciting time.”
This latest letting follows a busy period at Escrick Business Park which also recently saw quality used car specialist DG Dale & Son acquire the site’s final warehouse unit which covers 1,860 sq ft. The family run firm was founded in 1959 and sells a wide range of used cars as well as operating a repair, MOT and service centre. It now occupies more than 9,000 sq ft of space at Escrick Business Park.
In addition, Darlington based Aedis, which is a national provider of building control services and structural warranties recently launched its Yorkshire headquarters at Escrick Business Park.
