Yorkshire’s Caddick Group completes work on 112,000 sq ft distribution facility

The construction arm of Yorkshire property firm Caddick Group has completed work on Q110 – a 112,000 sq ft distribution centre in Cheshire.

Located on Weston Road in Crewe, the development has 10 dock-level loading bays and space for 20 HGV trailers.

It is based between Junction 16 and 17 of the M6, forming half of a 12-acre site acquired in 2017 by US-based Cabot Properties and Quorum Estates.

Another building on the same site, a 92,000 sq ft industrial scheme, has been let to distributor Warehouse One.

Ian Threadgold, regional managing director for Caddick Construction in the North West, said: “We are very pleased with the practical completion of Q110 at Crewe as we approach the end of a successful 2019.

“This is an exciting time for the North West with several large-scale infrastructure projects converging to make the region better integrated with the national economy.”

He added: “Caddick Construction and the group more widely continues to play an important role in that story, with several projects in the region.”

Manchester-based AEW Architects designed the scheme. Francis Bradshaw Partnership LLP provided structural engineering consultancy services.
