Nightmare Before CHRIStmas
When Chris Booth, decided to support the Macari Foundation for the homeless by running 10 miles on Christmas Day morning, he didn’t have the nightmare before Christmas in mind; unfortunately his 2 year-old and 4 month old decided to make his festive fund-raising run just that little bit more difficult, as Chris explained, “I’d decided to do something positive to help homelessness by doing a 10 mile run on Christmas Day morning, I knew it was going to be a little tricky as I was expecting to have a little festive hangover”!
“What I hadn’t anticipated was that my two little rascals would decide to play up all Christmas Eve night long, leaving me with than two hours sleep before I set off to run 10 miles. There was a tough of the nightmare before Christmas about it, but compared to what those on the streets have to endure, I count myself very lucky indeed”, added Chris.
Chris works at Swansway owned, Stoke Audi, and director David Smyth was impressed by Chris’s Christmas dedication “Santa hats-off to Chris, who not only ran with little sleep, but gave up time with his family on Christmas Day to help those less fortunate then himself. The Macari Foundation do amazing work supporting homeless people in and around Stoke and we’re proud to support Chris in his fund-raising”.
