Completion in sight for 58-home development in West Yorkshire’s Holme Valley

Work is well underway on a development to create 58 homes in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire.

The scheme, known as Heather View, comprises a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties on Dunford Road in Hade Edge.

The project will include over £500k of investment in the area, with the developer behind it, Jones Homes, committed to contributing £246k towards local education and £287.5k to fund road improvements in the area.

Jones will also build 12 affordable homes to help meet local housing need.

David Ruffley, the firm’s regional director for Yorkshire, said: “New homes bring many benefits to communities and we are proud to be investing in Hade Edge and the wider Holmfirth area.

“The homes we are building at Heather View have been designed to cater for everyone from aspiring first-time buyers and young professionals to growing families and people looking to downsize.”

He added: “We worked closely with the local authority to determine the mix of homes. They include three-bedroom semi-detached and four and five-bedroom detached homes. The affordable homes will include two bungalows.”

A show home for the development will be unveiled later this month, with the first residents due to move in shortly after.
