Record year for South Yorkshire’s Countrywide Healthcare as revenues hit £21m
Healthcare supplier Countrywide Healthcare achieved a record year of sales in 2018.
The Barnsey-headquartered company increased revenues by 21% last year, generating a turnover of more than £21m.
Countrywide Healthcare, which supplies a range of products for care home and nursing facilities, reported a 20% sales uptick in 2017.
Managing director Alastair Kitching said: “What is most satisfying is that after a great year in 2017 where sales grew by over 20%, we have more than matched that in 2018, the portfolio of customers has increased and we have many more prospects to go after in the next financial year.”
Elsewhere, Countrywide experienced growth in its online presence, with annual sales across its B2C ecommerce websites ‘Incontinence Supermarket’ and ‘Allanda – All About Incontinence’ growing to more than £2.3m.
Finance director Richard Hannah said: “Our online business is growing month on month which proves there is a real need for Incontinence related products in the UK as we experience an ever increasing ageing population.”
