Hull-based Pagabo launches new public sector building framework

A Hull-based business has launched a new construction framework with the aim of allowing public sector projects to get off the ground more quickly.

The new Pagabo Medium Works Framework, created by procurement firm Pagabo, will look to slash the complex ‘red tape’ involved in procuring the services of building firms for the public sector.

Through the framework, public sector organisations will have access to a pool of construction businesses that have been pre-approved for their prices, quality of service and positive impact on social value.

Pagabo said it potentially removes weeks of complicated work for clients who require contractors to be OJEU compliant.

The framework operates in 73 regional areas across the whole of the UK and is available for the procurement of projects ranging from £250k to £10m.

Pagabo CEO Simon Toplass commented: “The Medium Works Framework sits firmly within our impressive family of construction frameworks that consider construction as a service and not just as a product.

“We constantly hear from our clients that they’re not just buying a building, but they want a service that gets them to the outcomes they want.”

He continued: “Medium Works, like all of our frameworks, simplifies the process but considers how the client wants to procure, their timings, speed of appointment and ‘on-time’ delivery.

“We’ve got off to a flying start with our Medium Works Framework, which is already gathering momentum.”

Among the first companies on the framework is York-based Lindum Group, whose director Phil Sidebottom said: “Public sector clients who are looking to begin building work might find this new framework useful as they pick through the complicated process of procurement.

“A lot of the initial hard work has been done for them by the Pagabo selection process and it means they can focus on the project and finer details of the construction process.”

He added: “It is great for Lindum to be on this framework as it is yet another pathway we can offer potential customers who are looking for a way to work with us.”
